Water Restrictions: Dos and Don’ts
To help manage the reduced water supply during this period, Calgarians are asked to follow water restrictions. These restrictions are essential to ensure there is enough water for everyone until the situation is resolved. Below are the dos and don’ts for water usage in different languages:
Fire Ban and Road Closure
In addition to water restrictions, a fire ban is in effect. Please refrain from any open burning or use of fire pits. Furthermore, road closures may affect your commute. Please plan accordingly and follow local traffic updates for alternative routes.
Community Spirit and Support
As we approach Neighbour Day, it’s important to remember the community spirit that defines Calgary. Neighbour Day started in June 2014 to celebrate the incredible outpouring of support and generosity of neighbours following the 2013 Calgary floods. Each year on the third Saturday in June, we celebrate our strong and caring communities. It’s time for us to come together again to support our community as much as we can.
Thank you to all Calgarians for your cooperation and understanding during this challenging time!
