As part of our ongoing commitment to engage with clients and other job seekers with forced displacement experience, we are thrilled to announce that we have launched a monthly ‘Ask Me Anything‘ session occurring every first Wednesday of the month from 4-5 pm EST.
This virtual event is designed to provide a platform for clients to openly discuss their career journey, seek advice, and address any challenges they may be facing. We believe in fostering a supportive community, and these sessions aim to empower clients with valuable insights and guidance in their journey to finding meaningful employment.
This month, we will be joined by Jumpstart co-founder Omar Salaymeh.
Omar Salaymeh is the co-founder and COO of Civia, a company creating AI solutions for the public sector, and a former CEO of Bonfire, a govtech company acquired in 2019. Beyond his tech leadership, Omar co-founded and serves on the board of Jumpstart Refugee Talent, a non-profit aimed at refugee integration into the workforce. With a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Waterloo and an early career in green energy and sustainable buildings, Omar’s work spans technology, sustainability, and social entrepreneurship. Omar will be sharing valuable insights and guidance with refugee job seekers in their journey to finding meaningful employment.
