Join us for a free, friendly, and informative session designed especially for parents and caregivers of young newcomer children (ages 4–8). Together, we’ll explore what you need to know to feel confident and supported as your child begins their school journey in Calgary.

In this session, we’ll talk about:

How the school system works

Canadian school culture & fees

Setting up your @yycbedu account

Bussing, absences, and homework expectations

What to wear & student/parent responsibilities

Where to find help and resources

This is a safe, inclusive space where your voice matters. We want to hear what you are most interested in learning about and tailor the session to fit your needs.

Activities for children and refreshments will be provided.
